For my last class at IU, I got an A! Woo! Here’s a shot of one of my unknown identifications for the class: Streptococci!

Food Junkie

by me on Feb.18, 2011, under What?

Ok, so I have a feeling that this blog will either turn into a food creation theater, or just have a “food” tag for posts of my experiments and any comments from the victims unfortunate enough to try my wares.

Will update soon :)

Launchy!

by me on Jan.27, 2011, under Uncategorized

Hello Internet. After getting my housemate to try a program called Launchy, I figured I’d share it with those of you who haven’t discovered it yet. Launchy is an incredibly small program that runs in the background (Don’t worry, it takes up almost no system resources.) of your computer and allows you to open programs without having to touch that grungy mouse.

Launchy allows you to open any program at any time by hitting Alt+Tab. A small launch window pops up, and you simply type the name of the program you want. Here, take a look.

So you start off browsing ABC News about Panda Porn:

Then, you decide you want to make a cool pic in Photoshop, so you hit Alt+Tab:

Here’s a view of the little window:

And here’s your program!

Foobar2000 & Milkdrop 2.2

by me on Jan.27, 2011, under Tech

Hey Guys -

Well from looking at this site’s hits and such, it looks like my only cool post was the Foobar2000 and Milkdrop 2.1 post! :D So HERE WE GO! ROUND TWO:

Foobar2000 and Milkdrop 2.2

Note: No more need to download WinAmp! Here are the steps. All the links have been updated from the previous post.

1. Download Foobar2000.

2. Download Shpeck. (Keep in mind, you might have to configure the path to “Program Files (x86)” )

3. Download what Shpeck will think is the WinAmp Directory. Place this wherever the heck you want. I placed it simply in the Foobar2000 directory.

Once you configure Shpeck, you should have MilkDrop2.2 working happily with Foobar2000!  Hope that helps :)

EDIT: User “Hi” asked if you could use Milkdrop in windowed mode. Here’s how!

FF Addon: Video DownloadHelper

by me on Dec.20, 2009, under Uncategorized

Thanks to StumbleUpon, I found a really cool FireFox addon today: The Video Download Helper. This little gem lets you download video files (in .flv format, you can change format with something like Handbrake) from video streams. Works with YouTube and the Onion News Network… those two pretty much comprise all streaming vids that I would want to download.

Enjoy :)

Warning: Parking Idiots

by me on Dec.18, 2009, under What?

So after someone parked in front of my parents driveway (And we successfully got it towed!! :D ) in Indy, I remembered a couple of sites that I’ve come across and loved, but haven’t actually had the balls to do. I want to share ‘em with anyone who actually reads this site (Thanks Ellyn!!).

First off: I Park Like an Idiot

This site sells these bumper stickers (Yes - they’re actual bumper stickers, so whoever is unlucky enough to get one is going to have some work to do) that you put on someone’s car whenever you find a situation that applies to both A) Parking and B) Idiots. As much as I’d love to say that I’ve purchased these and used ‘em, sadly I can’t. Although I’m really temped to buy a pack.

Second site is: You Park Like an Asshole

This one has downloadable content you can print on your own (read: Free). Some can look like parking tickets. This, I could definitely use at IU.

No ones uses AIM anymore…

by admin on Dec.09, 2009, under Uncategorized

It seems like like I have probably… 4 people that i consistently talk to on aim. Used to be rare that I would have less than 10 tabs open :(

Is this what happens when you get older than 15 years? Lame. I wanna go back. I downloaded Pidgin (awesome client) and I was so excited to use it… but then I remembered no one else uses aim :P

Google Wave Invites. Want some?

by admin on Nov.26, 2009, under Tech

Currently I’ve got 8 Google Wave invites left. It seems like a pretty cool program, although I haven’t used it extensively… or at all… yet. But yeah leave a comment if you want one.

Looks like Verizon finally cracked.

by admin on Nov.14, 2009, under Uncategorized

Looks like VZ finally caved under pressure and released the hold on the BB 8330 GPS :D

I CAN FIND MY CAR NOW!

EDIT: Apparently OS4.5 isn’t fully compatable with the google suite. So I’m torn between GPS and Email. I think Email wins this round. Downgrade time :(
